Individual, Relationship Counselling and Therapy Groups Available.

Sara is a Relational Therapist, seeing relationship as central to all human experience. Whether working with individuals or couples, she offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what has often become a complex inner world of introduced thoughts and emotions, that can produce unwanted behaviours.

The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a container, one of trust and depth, where even the most difficult of emotions can be held. It is a space where your story can be fully told, and where your truth can be spoken, heard, and understood.

Be prepared to be challenged and supported as you explore what might be keeping you captive—often the past, still influencing the present. The work invites liberation: a more consistent, integrated way of being across all areas of your life.

Though Sara is trained in Psychodynamic Counselling, with particular attention to formative relationships and attachment experiences, she begins with where you are now. The past is present in the room through how it lives on in you, and together, you will gently bring unconscious patterns into awareness, offering you more agency in how you live, love, and relate.

Sara places deep importance on the quality of her presence, committed to authenticity, to walk her talk and talk her walk. The relationship between therapist and client is a living, dynamic field, where real transformation can take place when trust allows what has long been unspoken to find its voice.

Core Principles of Sara’s Therapeutic Approach

Sara’s work is based on a relational philosophy, supported by clinical experience and a lived knowing of the healing power of presence. These key tenets inform every aspect of her practice:

The Past Lives in the Present

We arrive in therapy as the culmination of everything we have lived. Past relationships, wounds, and beliefs don’t just reside in memory, they show up in how we relate, in this moment. Therapy offers a space to gently bring these influences into conscious awareness to bring about transformative change.

Whole-Body Awareness

Reconnection with the body can offer a powerful counter to overthinking. By integrating body-based awareness into therapeutic dialogue, Sara supports you to stay connected, present, and aligned to your inner knowing.

The Magic is in the Application

Transformative and sustainable change relies on putting the realisations received in the therapeutic work into practice in everyday life. The space between sessions becomes a living field for practice – applying insight, noticing patterns, and living new ways of being.

Personal Responsibility as Liberation

When we recognise that our triggers lie within us, we can experience liberation from suffering, where introduced emotions like blame, guilt, and shame begin to fall away, revealing space for your uninhibited, true expression.

Relational Depth Begins Within

Our relationship with self shapes every other connection. Learning to meet ourselves with truthfulness, understanding and respect is foundational to meeting others in the same way.

Individual Counselling

Every single client arrives at therapy in a different place, with different hopes, expectations, and life stories. There is no hierarchy of suffering, no-one more or less deserving of support.

Sara has worked with clients around the world, at all stages of life, career, and family experience. Her approach is both consistent and flexible: some clients meet weekly at the same time, while others prefer to schedule sessions around work, study, or caring responsibilities. You will find a rhythm that supports your growth.

The therapeutic work offers more than insight, it invites a fundamental shift. Foundational to Sara’s approach is the belief that:

“the greatest magic happens between the sessions.”

Counselling is not just about what’s spoken in the room, but how it’s lived beyond it. Sara sees the role of the therapist as one in which they walk alongside you, not lead or fix, but to support you in recognising that it is you who carries the wisdom and strength to change your life.

And when that change comes, when old patterns are released, trauma is seen and integrated, or self-limiting thoughts no longer plague you, it is you and the moves you make that we celebrate.

Relationship Counselling

Relationships put us at the coalface of learning. They can be our greatest joy, and our deepest challenge. Relationship counselling offers a safe, confidential space to explore dynamics between you and your partner, family member, friend or colleague, confirm what’s working and address where you feel stuck, conflicted or disconnected.

Whether you are navigating communication difficulties, recurring conflicts, a breakdown in trust, intimacy issues, or feeling challenged by the natural growing edges of an ever-evolving relationship, relationship counselling provides a place for you to listen, to hear and make contact with each other. With the support of a skilled therapist, wayward or outworn patterns can be identified, underlying needs brought to light, and new ways of relating introduced.

The focus isn’t on who’s to blame or jumping to solutions. It’s the way of communication and its application and practice between the sessions, that supports transformative and sustainable change.

Sara works with you both without favour or alignment to a particular end goal. Sometimes, this work strengthens and renews a relationship, and at other times, it helps partners separate with clarity and compassion, for example. We begin with some foundational elements, to bring: integrity, understanding and transparency to your way of relating.

Sara works with relationships of all orientations, at any stage of relationship. The sessions are tailored to your unique needs, drawing on relational, psychodynamic, and somatic (building awareness of how we connect and express non-verbally) approaches.

Group Sessions: Exploring Relational Depth Together

Many clients speak of a quiet but persistent longing for deeper connection, for more authentic relating, for something they can’t quite name but deeply feel. Questions like “Am I expecting too much?”, “Is this really it?”, or “It’s as though we all know there’s more to relating, but we just don’t go there” are not uncommon. You are not alone in asking these questions.

Group sessions offer a rare and powerful space to explore this longing, together. In a safely held relational field, these sessions invite you to engage with others in a way that reveals, deepens, and transforms.

At the heart of each gathering is the opportunity to experience yourself in relationship, moment by moment, with greater transparency, understanding and awareness.
